Creation of three illustrations, including one large-format, for the article "Mysterious Instructors to the Rescue of the Congolese State", written by Joan Tilouine and Olivier Liffran for the magazine XXI.
Don't call them mercenaries; they are "instructors," coming from France and Romania, officially to train a disbanded Congolese army. They stay in palaces, advise ministers, and maintain equipment. Our journalists gained access to these well-paid former elite soldiers, with no allegiance, and to one of their leaders, the Franco-Romanian Horatiu Potra.
