Conquérant Spirits

Gin’s advertising

Could it be that the spirit and power of William the Conqueror was locked in an elegant bottle? There is a strong chance! It was in the heart of the former lands of the famous Duke of Normandy, King of England, that two childhood friends Henri van Melle and Jean-Luc Etievent decided to launch their brand of spirits. Conqueror Spirits is his name. Conqueror in direct reference to the illustrious historical figure and his desire to conquer the world. Spirits to capture the spirit of this man, but also an English play on words for spirits. Passionate about history, strength, the environment, the beauty of the different landscapes (between the bocage, the mountains and the sea) of this region, the two accomplices wish to express the nobility of the place and the singularity of the tastes.  After having led a career in communication and marketing of luxury Henri van Melle, allowed himself to assume his desire to create flavors, fragrances, tastes through the distillation of eaux-de-vie. He thus lets a dream come true by putting his expertise in products of excellence at the service of his creations. It is on the basis of agronomy that his friend Jean-Luc Etievent, a specialist in the revival of original grape varieties, wishes to defend a heritage of Norman know-how. Both of them elaborate recipes following the rhythm of the seasons and using local botanicals often ignored. In Norman Switzerland and in Calvados, the two friends produce gins and other alcohols. In the gardens of their priory and their Abbey respectively, they grow the ingredients necessary for their production. The ageing of the juices is done in their cellars.

A challenge for sure but which is part of this universal will from now on to defend traditions only by reinterpreting them?
