I produced several works for XXI, an independent investigative and reportage magazine that places drawing at the heart of its narrative approach.

Built on a rigorous journalistic methodology, XXI explores the contemporary world through long-form reporting that combines investigation, immersion, and critical perspective. Drawing plays a central role in this process: it does not merely illustrate a text, but actively contributes to the construction of the narrative, giving form to complex realities that are sometimes invisible or difficult to photograph.

The images I created for the magazine are part of this approach. They accompany in-depth investigations, historical narratives, and social issues, seeking to convey context, atmosphere, and underlying tensions, while respecting the journalistic rigor of the reporting. Here, drawing allows for distance and synthesis, offering the reader a different rhythm and mode of engagement.

At the crossroads of reportage, documentary, and graphic storytelling, these works reflect my interest in drawing as a fully-fledged narrative language, one capable of illuminating reality in a different way, without simplifying or freezing it.
